For a Coopérative Agricole, we are designing a new plant. We do this using our methodology based on BIM (Building Intelligence Modeling). In this way, the plant is first built digitally. The digital coordination ensures that interferences and design issues can be solved before the purchase or construction process starts.

Today June 1st, exactly 10 years ago in 2011, Polytek was founded! It all started in a small portacabin, but didn't all big companies start out in some kind of shed? Happy birthday to us!  

Polytek is proud to be the first Benelux user of Autodesk Construction Cloud. With this cloud based solution we can grant personalised access to up-to-date and accurate information for every team member including external collaborators. Read all about it in this Autodesk blogpost about Polytek.   

From now on the Polytek Tienen offices are located at Industriepark 45, 3300 Tienen. Same phonenumber, same team, but more space to take care of your project!  

We’re starting off the year with good news: Polytek is expanding into Wallonia! On February 1st we will be opening a new office in ‘the city of light’ Liège, so we can take care of projects even better in this part of the country! Polytek now has offices in Tienen and Liège, and we're looking to further expand our presence in Belgium and internationally!

We recently manned a booth at Group T’s entrepreneurs’ day. Many students visited our stand and got acquainted with the tools we use at Polytek for mechanical, civil and structural engineering.  Using a virtual reality headset, visitors to our stand were able to walk across a platform in  Group T’s atrium. This of course allows us to make detailed engineering very visual!

Modification of an existing installation means there will be as much reuse as possible, and the existing situation will be measured as accurately as possible. Usually, the elements known at the time are measured. This will often restrict the designer and result in tunnel vision.
